Got my HD last December.
Love it ....
However the first HD box had a fault and had a high frequency pitched sound.
But got it swapped. However SKY made me wait 2 weeks ...so called and complained so much they gave me a month for free.
So other than the installation being crap and the bloke taking 15 mins and running for the door leaving me with a duff box, even after I told him was not right and SKY crap customer service ....
HD is great ...love it ...
Also to call sky ...find a free phone number via the WEB.
Call it and they will say Digital Switch-over OAP help line ...then they will tell you that you have wrong department and transfer your call and you get to jump the queue and get call to them for free.....
Also you avoid trying to speak to some Indian who can't speak proper English or call you thinks like Mr Kev ....
Just had it installed unfortunately without complication, engineer back and forth like a yoyo, picture good, sound needs seeing to phone lines haywire, maybe when all sorted might be worthwhile. Make sure you get everything checked!
Had sky hd installed last week now my lovely big telly has developed a fault but my sky box is still taping all the movies from true movies.for the week so hope to get my telly back on Friday.Getting suint eyed watching this portable.
Yeah! I've got a 'SKY' phone line and ALL calls are free, if I phone up the road or friends in Oz or South Africa its all free. One still has to pay BT for line rental but all my other calls are free. (for a fee of £5 monthly to SKY)
I don't feel it's worth the money we pay for it. Even though there is a difference, I don't think it's enough to make me feel that I want to continue paying it! Also If watching any live telly, it seems to pixelate for a few seconds.... mostly on BBC channels!
But there again, I'm a girl and my husband seems to love it! Could be a boys and toys thing that I don't get! :0)
