Frank, it could be Hansa if your e is wrong - have a look at http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/hansa

PS Hanse is also on the dictionary.com site so either could be correct (and the E fits)

Thanks boxtops, i've checked again... 55a is charlotte, which gives the 'e' on the end of hanse. Also i cross referenced both hansa and hanse and they both mean the same according to the history of the hanseatic league which was a guild of traders, according to wikipedia.... i thought it would be hansa as well at first, but charlotte is def. the right answer for 55a so i guess i'll take a chance on hanse.... thanks for your help! have a good weekend and regards, ff.
