Mods and Rockers.

I was a Mod.

I remember them. There was a big clash in our pub between the two. Scary stuff......I was too young to be either...

If I was older...I would have been a mod.

I was a Mod, my older brother a Rocker. It was laugh me getting a lift on his motorbike (Norton 650cc) dressed in Mod Gear and pork pie hat.

I was a rocker with my own Triump Tiger cub, and then I preffered the Mod's clothes so switched over and dumped the bike!

You,re right ummm.
I remember the clashes at Brighton,Clacton and Southend.
They were really scary,compared to them punks were/are pussycats Iggy.

Mods were Beatle fans; Rockers = R. Stones........who has stayed the course ;)

I looked like a mod (Mary Quant Dollyrocker dresses - yay! (to quote JJ)) - but I'm a Rocker at heart, and still am...

I think tambourine is over-simplifying there.

Mods were into American soul music - Tamla, Stax and so on, which they danced to in clubs. Rockers were more into vintage rockers, Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis etc.

True, a lot of sixties fans liked either the Stones or The Beatles, but the divison lines were not aong the Mod / Rocker axis.
