i don't like having showers, so have a bath most nights, but it means that my hair has to be brushed again in the morning, getting rid of any curls and making it frizzy, or tieing it up and having it really knotty and not being able to brush it until i get home.

What can i do, so that my hair doesn't look a mess for school. I don't need it to be perfect, but a way of getting it curly with as little knots and chemicals as possible, that won't ruin it through heat, or take ages to do.

Tie it up overnight, don't brush it in the morning and just scrunch with moose and go.

Works for me anyway.
Eat all your crusts. They make your hair curly.

china, thats what i sometimes do, but by the time i get home from school and can rbush it, its awefully knotty.
Wash it using a decent detangler conditioner before brushing, I use a Paul Mitchell one which is fantastic.

That said, my hair is curly but relatively fine so it's a bit easier to manage than people who have thick as well as curly hair.
Now im no expert on curly hair, so feel free to disregard this possibly rubbish idea...But would brushing whilst still wet, then plaiting it overnight until the morning work?
My old mum told me to eat the crusts off my bread to have curly hair

boo that is a good idea, but my hair is hard to tie up and is quite short with layers in now. even wheni do try and put it in a bun for the night, it has often fallen out by the morning.
Back in the 80s when curly perms were the done thing, we all had a wee scooshy bottle that we'd use in the morning to dampen our hair and liven up our curls then a quick wee blast of the hairdryer and we were on our scrunched way ;)
okay, I am big and curly! don't brush it.. are you MAD?? cover your hair with a shower cap to stop the steam getting at it.

in the morning run a little hot water with a tiddly bit of product through the ends with your fingers. then just leave it alone. curly hair doesn't like being fiddled with!
I always wanted curly hair,so when I had a perm years ago I thought it was going to be the answer to my prayers. How wrong was I!My hairdresser recommended a plant spay bottle with a water/hair conditioner mix.Genius.Pure and simple fix thats cheap too.Worked for me anyway, worth a try :-)
