I keep the paper pants on but she has to rub it in my boobs although she obviously wears gloves - but with a spray they don't touch you at all.
The beautician will be very professional, they do fake tans all the time and really don't care, they'll be making sure the colour is even rather than what you look like, and they've got boobs as well!!
Don't be scared, and if you're nervous just say you're a bit worried cos you've never had it done before and i'm sure they'll put you at ease. The colour is always great, i love them and i'm a reformed sunbed queen. they may also ask you to change from your own thong into some sexy paper pants - this is just to stop the colour ruining your knick knacks, but you can keep your own on if you want - just say you'd prefer to keep your own on although the paper pants are a bit bigger than a thong. You will look great and it's like 20 minutes out of your life so be brave! good luck!
i've had a spray and a rub on one - just wore big knicks for it - they will have seen worse than you!
I would recommend the rub on one but never the spray one, it was horrendous! It was totally patchy and a total waste of money - i ended up topping myself up with my own fake tan. I would never recommend it to anyone!
I've had quite a few fake tans done -both spray and rub on ones. I wonder if it depends on the product and salon used as I highly recommend spray tans. The results were not patchy at all and very natural looking. It lasted a good 5 days, 7 days if i was careful (i.e.loads of moisturiser and "patting" myself dry with a towel after a shower rather than rubbing, avoiding hot baths/swimming etc).
Wearing a paper thong is - i admit- not the most comfortable or pleasant thing but, as has already been said, the girls at the salon have seen it all before and are going to be more concerned about doing a good job than anyone's wobbly bits (well - that's what i said to convince myself!). Go for it! If you don't enjoy it, you'll know not to try it again. x
