Fed up of people taking our parking spaces where I live.
These people live on a road nearby with no parking facilities.
They dont take any notice when letters are sent to them from our housing association.
What can be done ?

get your Local authority and housing association to get their heads together and make it a residents only zone
Question Author
It has notices up, but all they said was we cant police it
well the traffic wardens would love the business and so you need to give them the heads up, they;'d flock there if they thought they could make their quota all in one place
We pay for residents' parking, the traffic wardens are round regularly to see who's not got a permit
Contact a clamping company..............they'll be only too pleased to tow away unauthorised cars.
Some residents of roads near out local station complained about commuters parking outside their houses. Local authority slapped double yellow lines on all the affected road, now no-one can park!
Question Author
Thats not too good, but our car park is in its own area not on a road.
Are the bays numbered or marked silka?
Question Author
No afraid not
Can you get the association to number/mark the bays allocated to your respective houses, then if other people park there, the wardens/clampers can move in.
A reputable clamping company will put up notices warning that they operate and then remove cars either not on a registered list, cars complained about on the day or cars that cannot be accounted for when they do their periodic sweep of their sites.
Question Author
I could ask, but not too sure they would, always down to money at the end of the day, thanks
Clamping companies do not charge.................
Maybe all the residents could offer to club together and offer to pay to have a few numbers painted on - surely it's worth it to avoid further parking problems.
Question Author

Good luck silka - keep giving your housing assoc. earache until they do something!
