man and woman pensioners
we are pensioners and would like to move in together but would like know would we be considered a couple? and therefore have a couples pension? We dont want to marry, just be together and look after one another and be company for one another. Will we be able to have our own pensions still? I would be grateful if someone can tell me.

what a lovely post : o)
you' ve earned your State Pension so I think that would be safe. if you're claiming Pension Credits you would be treated as a couple, and one of you would have to claim it at the couple rate.
best of luck to both of you x

my partner and I are pensioners and treated seperately but if one of you has a large income (eg a company pension) then this would have an effect. At least it does for us because I have a large company pension therefore we cant claim anything extra. Good luck to you I hope you are both as happy as we are
