Hotel advice
5 Answers
My friend and i are travelling America over summer and are looking to book our first and last days accomodation.
We were wondering if anyone could give us advice on a nice not very expensive place to stay in LA close to the sight seeing stuff but not anywhere scary.
Also, looking for some luxury in Vegas - any ideas welcome.
Lastly - thinking of staying in lodges in the national parks along the way, has anyone done this and could they give advice on good places to stay?
Thank you in advance,

I can personally vouch for this at Glacier, Yosemite, Yellowstone, Bryce, Zion, Death Valley and Grand Canyon. This is true between Independence Day and Labour Days - roughly beginning of July to the middle of September. The best bet is to stay just outside the NP boundaries. Post where you intend to go and someone will produce some ideas.
Vegas, may I suggest the Luxor its not in the top bracket but you get an awful lotta glam for your money and you only want somewhere to put your head down you wont be stopping in much and the more expensive hotels you can go in and have a look round/meal, try the evening buffet at Planet Hollywood a little dearer but boy what a selection.
