I am thinking about buying an ipod, but I dont know a great deal about them so hopefully il get a little help.

The Ipod mini is the one that I fancy. I have songs on my computer which are in mp3 format, will these go on my ipod? I have been told that they wont, because they havent been downloaded from itunes... is this correct.

Will long (say about 100 minutes) DJ sets go on them? These are also in mp3 format

Thanks to anyone that helps me out,

Hiya TomTom, yup mp3's go on Ipod's, they don't need to be purchased from Itunes, although you have to use itunes to put them on obviously, simple to do though. DJ sets should be no problem too if they're mp3's,
Hey
Yeah I agree with sparks. All my music was in mp3s. This will go on your ipod no problem but I converted all of mine into aac format once they were in itunes as you can fit more music onto your ipod in this format.

I wonder why the bloke in the shop told me that if my music was in mp3 format I couldnt put it onto an ipod. He said that it would have to be redownloaded from itunes?? Cheers again
