Movie Heroics and Reality

Are there any sites where experts look at films and basically pick them apart for accuracy?

I'm thinking of a piece I read ( Empire possibly? ) where a Doctor watched Die Hard ( and others ) and said that Bruce Willis would be dead from his fire hose leap ! Or the " special forces " chap who picks apart movie gunplay in the extras section in " The Rock " DVD

Not sure about a site, but would like to add Little Brucie would have also of died cutting through the main power cable to an airport with a chainsaw (Die Hard 1 or 2? not sure which one) The man is a fool. Death becomes those going at Airport cables with a chainsaw.

Perhaps he was wearing Rubber Boots? :) Or a vest of invulnerability!

I'm fairly sure that you cant fire an M60 Heavy Machine Gun one handed as Rambo used to! A friend in the TA said that he would be on his back shooting the ceiling fairly promptly! ( see also Clint Eastwood (MP40 )in Where Eagles Dare and Jesse Ventura ( MiniGun) in Predator.)

I cant resist adding a little brucie fact.  He was due to fly to london for a premiere of one of his films, but he didnt go because after 9/11 he was afraid to fly.  So the hard man was afraid to fly, what a wimp.

dabees i think the scene you are referring to is die hard 1 but it wasnt willis(mcclane) it was walter - the main bad guy other than rickman who cut the cables after they had been made safe by his brother.

many movies use large portions of artistic license to make them more spectacular.personally,i long for an 'intelligent' action movie where it isnt dumbed down for its audience where you can watch it and could say 'ok its far fetched but that could happen' !
