Did you see Carla Romana interviewing celebs after The Oscars today? Not only were her questions as inane and stupid as ever, but she butted in on interviews by other channels, screamed at passing celebs in an embarrassing fashion, and most unforgiveable of all Tom Hanks was in the midst of talking to her when she reached right past him to grab Colin Firth, yelling Firh's name, and started talking to him instead. Thing is that in working for GMTV Romana is representing Britain, and her behaviour is utterly shameful. I'd like to see MTV giv her the big boot immediately, and I doubt anyone else will be taking her on. Who chooses the women of GMTV?

Just seen Romana cut British actor Michael Sheen off in mid-sentence to ask him 'Oh Mery Streep has just walked past...can you get her to talk to us?'
Unbelievable.
havent seen it yet-but i am not surprised
she is one dizzy mare
She wasn't as bad as that Susannah on BBC, she hardly spoke to anyone and when she did she didn't seem to know what to say! Also BBC had an item on the gowns people were wearing but when it came to talking about them they didn't have any pictures - it was a shambles!
The only bit I caught was the above mentioned Sheen/Streep, it did rather give the impression that she was talking to Sheen until someone more famous came along, as if to say, you'll do for now.
Simple answer turn off the TV !!!!!!!!!!!
I totally agree! Who does she think she is cutting Tom Hanks off like that - how rude?? Whats worse is that the guy was origionally talking to another Channel and she barged her way in to their interview. I felt for the crew standing next to her, lol! I thought she looked drunk!
I agree, I had the misfortune to catch this item this morning. I couldn't believe the rude way she cut Tom Hanks off in mid sentence because she had seen someone 'more interesting' to talk to in the shape of Colin Firth.

If I was Tom Hanks on the next occasion I'd tell her where to put her microphone. Absolutely appalling, I'm sure there have been some calls about it from viewers!
And what makes me mad is they get rid of Penny Smith. At least she was always pleasant to people. . Don't get me started on Kate Garraway
You need to understand the background of these celebrity bunfights - and that is what they are.

A reeporter will see a celebrity walk past, and you have a few seconds to catch their attention and get a soundbite, before someone else does. It may look rude, but all the interviewers there will do it - if you don't grab the next celeb wandering past, your competitors will, hence the 'attention-seeking' shouting and so on.

I have done this, for magazines, not TV, and trust me, if it's a choice between manners and time with the star you need, then manners go out of the window.

For the record, all the media behave this way, and the stars accept it for what it is, and take no offence at the way they may get cut off if someone more famous / interesting / newswothy walks past.
Hi chirpy,
I went to search for a clip as I wanted to watch it myself! Seems it's been edited!

One of the worst presenters I have ever seen! That accent!
She's inept as an interviewer. Her voice drones and she is quite manly.
