A bit of additional info for you. Although Dylan wrote the original, which he used to perform live, the Byrds were the first to record it, as a single in April 1965. They had heard Dylan singing it and their writer, Roger McGuinn, rewrote parts of it for their version. Dylan, after hearing the Byrds version, recorded it himself a month later.
The Byrds had a No 1 hit with it in the UK in June 1965.
