What is a front man?

Front man is the term given to the person who 'fronts' a band, or who stands at the front on stage - usually, though by no means always, the vocalist or the lead guitarist.

It's the person in the group or band who gets the most attention and is usually the person people associate with the band. Eg. Beyonce Knowles would be the frontwoman of Destiny's Child and Kurt Cobain was the frontman of Nirvana. Hope you get what I mean!
