Mrs McM buys something new and hangs in her wardrobe for a while and it shrinks two sizes

Probably due to damp wardrobes. You should buy her a new Bedroom suite.

As a surprise may I suggest that you go to the wardrobe ,make a cut down one side of each item and sew in a colourful piece of material ,then when Mrs McM tries on the item she will be pleasantly surprised that all her beautiful clothes fit.It would also be a good idea to break all the mirrors in the bedroom ,oh don't worry about the 7 years bad luck ,maybe the next Mrs McM will have a sense of humour.
