Noo Labour? what does that term even mean? when you change new to noo how does that mock Labour(Which i assume thats what is meant to do?)
Noo isnt even a word? Its just something that sounds similar!!! unless its an accronym?
Elf and Safety -Why when you change health to Elf does it become an insult? how are you mocking health and safety by comparing it to a creature that uses a bow and arrow? I honestly don't get it.
I really just laugh at people using them as if its meant to annoy or insult(and who its targeting i have no idea) because they're completely unrelated!
yes Geezer and any joke that needs to be explained is usually considered a rubbish joke!
Or maybe you're an elitist and enjoy this with your high and mighty chums(who are all in on it) while the rest of us just laugh at your appaling use of terrible humour when trying to discuss a serious subject like politics
All those phrases are funny for about a month, maybe five weeks. Then they enter vernacular, and lose any 'bite' they had.
They're almost as cringe-making as when people use the word '...not' at the end of a phrase indicating that they don't believe in what they've just said.
'Elf & Safety' is used as a way of deriding the way people aren't allowed (supposedly) to do certain things because the stereotypical adeniodal man with a clipboard drops his aitches and pronounces th as f when not allowing such activities on 'Elf and Safety' grounds.
Nothing to do with an Elf (which I suspect you know) and more to do with the fact that 'Elf & Safety' looks better in print than 'Ealth & Safety'.
there is a trend of the youth of today to mispell things deliberately...text speak, weirdly spelt names, addinggg lotsss offff lettersss ontooo the enddd of words etc etc
no idea why they do it, but i assumed it was ,about trying to 'get down with the kids daddio'
then theres yoof tv etc..which i believe was coined by janet street porter...
