Does anyone know the name of this film!?

I saw this film years ago on TV and my mother loved it and has always wanted it on dvd but we can't remember the name of it. It's a christmas film and as far as I can remember is about a fairly old homeless man who is no loner in touch with his family, and basically in the film he ends up reconciling with them. Think it was set in America. Think it must be about 10 years old as I was young when I saw it...Any ideas!?

I'm sorry emilyness but, I think, the plot you describe could be about any one of many TV films produced in this format. I mean 'Christmas Carol' themed films have been here since the talkies first started

i think its called home for christmas with micky rooney he ends up working for a family and it turns out they are his family he has not seen in years i do hope this helps
