Which type of dog is so called because it pursues its quarry underground(is this either a Jack Russell or Airdale Terrier)

I think the first one is a "widget"

i don't see how jack russell or airdale terruer has any connection with the word "underground".

Terrier comes from terra - Latin for earth = underground (burrowing in the earth to get prey)
