No Internet Connection

My son can't get his laptop to connect to the internet. Router to laptop connects. It worked fine on saturday, now, nothing. Any reasonable suggestions please.

Why does nobody seem to think to post even the most basic information about a computer when asking questions about a computer, at the very least what version of windows (or other OS!) it's running.

click start > run type cmd into the run box and hit enter, then when the command prompt opens type into it ipconfig and hit enter, post back the information it returns.

It's Vista. Sorry, didn't know that would make any difference.

It always a good idea to mention the windows version, while it makes little difference to the basic workings the exact method to do things varies quite a lot between versions..

In the end, he had to re install Windows. At least he has fixed it for now. Thanks everyone.
