I have a collection of old film slides, those that measure about 2" x 2", but have no projector or screen and wonder what would be the best way to view them. Is there any means of displaying them on a computer screen? Failing that I shall have to look for a not too expensive projector and screen. Advice appreciated.
I have had some good results by taking photo`s of them though the slide viewer with a digital camera and then transferring them onto my PC using Picasa3 and cropping them. Try Picasa3.com for a free download with Google.
Many thanks for all your answers. I've done a bit of 'Googling' and hadn't realised how many gadgets there were for viewing and scanning slides.
1rovert, the 'Epson V100 Photo' Scanner sounds interesting, but having scanned slides what happens next? Can you save and file them as pictures on your computer, and maybe put them on a CD or floppy disc?
