I was in a garden in Reading on Tuesday (I think that was the really nice day this week) and saw two or three flutter byes :c)
You can tell my daughter's a well brought up girl................she used to bring worms in and wash them in the bathroom sink because they were dirty..............

To be serious, there is a worrying dearth of the insect population especially bees on which the fertilisation of many food crops has always depended. Butterflies really are scarce and it is the very tidy manner of growing food that has partly been responsible for this plus the intense use of insecticides.
Bees are a worry. I was reading that there is a place in china where women go around with fans to pollinate the plants because the bees are dying.

I'm allergic to bees...and they can kill me. So I'm not sure how I feel about the matter....I live in fear that one of my kids will get stunk and we won't know if they too are allergic....

Ummmm can't a doctor do a skin test on your children to see if they are allergic. Do you keep antihistermine handy in case you do get stung?
I saw a bee today!!
