Same here - hi mamya
Thank you mamya but it was just the Consultants having a case conference today about how they are going to treat him and when he will start.. He is still waiting to hear from them, although if we don't hear by tomorrow afternoon will give them a ring. They did say to ring any time if we had any questions. I just wish they would get on with it as the waiting is driving me mad.

Thank you for thinking of us. xx
I have been chasing you around questions for a while - when did you learn to move so fast
Lol peri. Keeping busy takes my mind off it. I'm worn out with doing housework today.

Oh I misunderstood sorry, yes never be afraid to ring them, their secretaries are very well used to this and very helpful.

I'm trying to get as much broccoli/spinach down him as I can mamya and have been reading up on other foods. He has actually been eating a bit more the last couple of days and is a bit brighter but the difficulty swallowing does put him off trying certain things. I'll have to get in some baby food. Bless him!

Oops just posted this chirpy's divorce thread! Cracking up.

You can get some dietary liquid supplements on scrip I believe ask about them.
That's a good idea. Will get him to ask about them. Thanks.
Hi Jan, not sure what the problem is but my Mum has dropped down to under 5 stone and her doctor prescribed Fortijuce. It's very good and she gets it free on prescription. She takes 2 bottles a day and there is a range of flavours. Whatever it is good luck and I hope it all works out well for you xxxx

Hi Jan, hope you get to see this. Juices can be very potent, and things like Pomegranate and Purple Grape are known for their potent anti-cancer properties. Alfalfa and other sprouted grains are super foods and Spirulina (available from Holland and Barratt) is one of the most nutritionally dense superfoods on the planet. Recent studies carried out in Southern India, where tobacco chewing makes oral cancer prevalent has shown a complete remission in a whopping 45% of subjects who were given 1gm of Spirulina daily for a year. But check with Docs before taking it. But it's worth doing your research into. I've been taking it for 4 weeks and within two days my energy levels were increased dramatically, my appetite reduced and my skin was glowing. Plus, it's a complete food which will help if he's having difficulty swallowing.

In the meantime, I'll keep everything crossed for you. x x
Hi mamya. Just wanted to update you. The hospital got back to us today. Hubby has to have another endoscopy on the 29th and then six weeks of chemotherapy which hopefully will shrink the lymphoma after which they are going to operate to try and remove it. He will have to have a 4 week rest in between as the chemo will take it out of him but obviously we are both hoping things will be this straightforward and he does not have too much of a bad reaction to the chemo.

Hi NoMercy. You must be telepathic. One of the main things they told him was that the chemotherapy will upset his immune system so he will have to eat healthily, full fat milk etc. from now on and I was going to ask if people could suggest what else would help. I am forcefeeding him green veg broccoli, spinach, peas and cauliflower even though he's not fond of his veg.

He is seeing the oncologist tomorrow and will be asking about the liquid supplements you mentioned mamya and I will also get him to check on spirulina, as you suggest NoM.

We are both feeling a bit better and a lot more hopeful so thank you both for your kind thoughts and to everyone else who has sent me a message here and on FB. xxxx
Sorry mamya, just noticed your link about nuritional foods and will be having a read through that. Thanks. xx
