Parents evening update......

Hi guys. Sorry didn't get a chance to go on here yesterday as I had to go to a funeral.
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who took the time to answer my question. All the advice was so helpful.

The meeting went well. I was very calm and composed. I aired all my concerns with the teacher who not surprisingly denied that she had in anyway spoken to my daughter in a patronising manner or shouted at her. She did say that sometimes she shouted over the class in order to get her voice heard.

I left saying to her that I have to take what my daughter says seriously as well as her comments and that if my daughter continues to come home upset then I will take it to the Local Education Authority.
With that I got up and left.

I can now only hope that she eases up and that my daughter comes home happier. But I will be keeping a very close eye on it all.
