car insurance
I have been driving for 5 years all company cars.
I want my own car and insurance now.
Each company i call only offer me 1 year NCD, I have never had a accident and have been on my dads insurance policy since i passed my test.
Can anyone suggest a company that may take this into consideration and give me a fair NCD.
Thanks

Other than that, I would try a local insurance broker who may be able to help.
Other company car drivers might be able to offer advice – but if no insurance company will consider these years – then that’s yet another insurance scam to add to the list.

Thanks Hymie,
You are right with this insurance scam!!
I have been driving company cars for 5years day in and day out and never had a accident and have driven carefully all those years to be told I now cant be rewarded for that carefull driving.
It doesn't surprise why so many younger people don't brother with insuring their cars.

I gave up my company car about 5 years ago. I got a letter from the fleet manager on Company-headed paper stating that they kept records for the previous 5 years and in that time I had had no accidents or claims. All the insurance companies I contacted accepted this and offered to start me on 4 or 5 years no-claims bonus.
Davewr has given you good advice.
would just say that there is no scam here - you have not paid for an insurance policy why should you have the benefit of discounts - also insurers have the right to set their terms conditions - if they have been up front with you about the way they charge there is no scam

I assume woozer is a fully paid up employee within the UK insurance industry.
It is not uncommon for such persons to add their pro-insurance comments to posts that make obvious disparaging remarks concerning (mal) practice within the insurance industry.
Insurance is all about risk – gluxton has demonstrated that he is a low risk, but it suits the insurance industry to ignore this evidence, since it makes them money.
Extending woozer argument – every time you change your car, you should loose any no claims discount earned – since you have not earned it driving the new car.

hang on.
gluxton has nothing to say how/when he was driving on the company insurance. No records in his name, no no-claims built-up to offer discount.
Sure, Insurance companies can be tight, but there;s a difference to driving a firms car carefuuly, and then getting your own car to rusha round in. Going from daytime office to office driving, to evenings and weekends, etc. All makes a difference.
where will the car be kept etc.
all has to be taken into account. I don't work for the industry, but I do look at both sides of the coin
