I have had to replace my PCs Hard Drive, which i have formatted. I only have the restore CD Roms which came with my PC how do i get XP back on to it? I am at my wits end.

If you have the restore CDs then the documentation that came with the desktop should show you how to do it.

I think if you turn the PC on, put the first restore CD in the drive, then turn the PC OFF (leaving the CD in the drive).

Then when you switch the PC back on it SHOULD boot from the CD and the restore should continue.

If this does not work you may need to set the CD drive to boot BEFORE the hard drive. You do this in the BIOS.

Your PC documentation should show you how to go in the BIOS.

I wish it was that simple, when i try to do that it opens ghost which crashes.
Have you got a printer with a built-in memory card reader, or a USB memory card reader? If so disconnect it before booting.
A second connected drive might just work. Hopefully, Ghost will look for a disc on only that original drive.
