Hi,

We've got a Dell laser printer but recently it's been leaving a mark down one side of the paper it prints on.

We've tried changing the toner and head but no joy.

Could anyone suggest anythign that we could try to fix it as it's now out of warranty and trying to avoid having to buy a new one.

Thanks for any help :)

It sounds as if you've had a toner spill and it's got onto the pinch rollers that pull the paper through. See if you can get access to the rollers and clean them. Check all accessible parts in case there is a little splodge of toner somewhere that's being picked up by the paper. If you can't access the rollers, try printing multiple blank pages in the hope that eventually any toner will be removed.
Also look for anything on the drum but avoid touching it and putting fingermarks on it. A very soft brush is useful
