Jesus Flipnflap, pay my expenses & I will come and do it you ( That's a joke) for a start, do not use your dealer contact a local family garage, with Renault you are paying for the name, when will people ever learn, That last statement is not directed at you Flipnflap. where are you in the UK? ( If in the UK)
Just to put a little perspective on main dealer prices I recently had to have a drive shaft replaced on a Nissan primera, I got the job done by a local garage who got the part for £130 from a motor factors (I found one on ebay for about £60 but paid the extra to get it quickly) and it was fitted for £170 all in (so £50 labour)
I went to a Nissan main dealer later in the week and while I was in there I asked, just out of curiosity, how much the part would have been from them
It would have been just under £800 just for the part from a main dealer and gawd knows how much they would have charged to fit it!
