i try changing my sheets regularly, but still get the occasional bite every now and then. my girlfriend wants me to spray the bed with fly killer spray. i dont think this is a good idea, as the toxins would worry me.
suggestions please

check the mattress for bed bugs, or change the mattress
How about giving the mattress a really thorough vacuum, both sides.

thanx, will ask landlord 2moro, as there isnt a vacuum here, as most places in spain dont have carpets
you can get mattress covers that will seal and keep bugs out

Sounds like bedbugs and they can be hiding anywhere in the room. Check for black marks as this is the waste they leave behind - inspect the bed and mattress carefully - they are flat brown beetle-like creatures and suck on human blood when you are asleep - they come out at night
There is no solution unless you want to buy a new matress every month. Bed bugs are one of the hundreds of parasites that live on humans and human jetsam. Like spiders you cannot get rid of them.
Put out some crab pots. lol
i know that they say there are always bed bugs but have never actually been bitten - could it be mozzies or something that are biting you? They do say steam cleaning kills them but not sure how best to do that but as mentioned vacuming would help too. Do you turn your matress regularly? Have you got one of those plug in things in your room incase not bed bugs that are the problem?
