Telephone number on this page, might be easier to give them a ring ian.

LucyThomas- have you ever thought of actually helping someone instead of marching onto posts like an over zealous spelling bee, leaving a scathing spelling correction and then stomping off out again? If not, you're about as useful as a chocolate fireguard.
Hi ian. if the guarantee was for 12 months, then you really are out of time. Unless, of course you took out an extended guarantee. Did you?

I would call PC World and see what they say
I think Lucy, he wanted some help, not a spelling lesson ;o)

I think that you need to check how you are treating the socket. To break 3 in just over a year seems a little strange
due to the crap nature of pc's laptops etc, i always take out insurance. costs £8.99 monthly but worth it as i study and surf like a demon. this ones been back to the shop (pc world) five times in its short life...well worth it. x

well thank you all for your answers..but i found it all out on a pc website..even though your garrantee run out after 12 month, you still under a comsumer rights..
and you have a 6yr warrantee in england and only 5yrs in scotland..
thats under the consumer credit web site..
but thank you all for trying to help me..but this way now you can tell anyone else that needs the same question answered..ian
hi ianglyn, if you have spent over £500, then i would say go back to them an tell them that you wld expect the pc to last atleast 5yrs, there is smt in the law that allows you to do this, because i had a similar situation, did find smt on the net (law) an i went back and argued my case, they already have record of you havin the same problem again
and again, and ask to see the manager an no one else, remember to start off by sayin how good pc world are, an how much faith you had in them, bla bla,bla.....then use all your charm!!!good LUCK
