It is 9 weeks since I stopped smoking :-)
I have put on a stone in weight (now 9st 2lb), my skin is awful, I haven't stopped coughing for weeks and i'm no better of finanically. I'm not going to start again though because it is great to not be a slave to cigarettes. lol

Well done I stopped smoking in 1993 best thing I ever did it took me about six months for things to start levelling out I could then start excercising to lose the weight gain the coughing will stop once your lungs are clear and I still enjoy getting in the car and being able to smell the air freshener and food tastes better too keep it up !!!!!
Thanks everyone :-)
I'm no better off financially jj because my oh has found other things to spend the money on (himself mainly).
Vibra, I've been hammered a couple of times with no problems re smoking. lol
Milliezoe, my coughing will probably never get better and i'm unable to exercise due to my lung disease (emphysema)....the main reason I stopped smoking in the first place. I am still not going to start again though, just the smell of tobacco makes me cringe now.

Don;t want to make you feel worse, but I stopped smoking 6 months ago I am now two stones overweight, I've no intention of starting again but the doc says I just have to eat sensibly not diet. I think that you naturally put on weigh when you stop, and then level out hopefully we'll level out soon my savings are being eaten up by buying bigger knickers etc.
