Too hot to sleep
Anyone have any good remedies for when it is far too hot to get to sleep?
Ive tried ceiling fan, lighter bedding, windows opened - yet im still finding it near impossible to get a good night's sleep (3hrs last night).

I have a fan, but its a static one with a head that dosent move, and when I do put it on I get very cold spots, which in turn give me cramp! I think I have one in the office though somehwere, so ill try and pinch that.
Im also not really into the herbal stuff myself, and dont think its justified getting a prescription just yet ;)
I think its a no hoper to be honest and ill just have to put up with the heat!! oh well!
last year we bought a portable A/C [ air conditioner] from B&Q for the bedroom and slept like a baby whilst others sweated it out, we were so impressed this year we have bought one for downstairs too. Even the dog taps the side of the a/c when he wants it on !!!
they do cost around 190 this year, but you could always try it for 1 night then take it back if you didnt like it.
Ummm, what temperatures are we talking about here (for those of us not in the UK)
On the subject of fans, you should not really need a swivel head fan, if you point it anywhere in the room but directly at the bed it should give a good enough circulation around the whole room to keep it reasonably comfortable.
