A Reader?
37 Answers
Would anyone consider reading a book for me?...as I'm totally blind and what I miss are the books I could read by sight and look unlikely to ever become commercially available. I will pay for tapes/CDs used, but as this is the first time I've ever asked this, I have no idea of a fee...for want of a better word. Ta Muchly.

I have quite an extensive book collection, unfortunately, it doesn't contain anything you've mentioned so far .............
If you came up with a list, I'm sure we could divvy it out amongst ourselves....smile

Yes please Sachs. Okay, here goes. There are four books (a tetralogy?) by Henry Williamson which track the life and loves of Willie Maddison and these are: The Beautiful Years, Dandelion Days, Dream of Fair Women and The Pathway...the latter of course Brenda is going to look at first and I hope Brenda doesn't find it too daunting. The Pathway and Dandelion Days are my two faves of the four. Then there are two or three short stories from the collection Tales of the Uncanny and Supernatural by Algernon Blackwood, which I aint got yet, but is on order. The only book of the Williamson four I have is The Pathway, so if anyone would like to see if their library has copies of any of the other three and then....?May I be impertinent and ask who of you glorious AB people has a broad accent?...it may not be important, but it would help me to know...but then I shouldn't be asking should I?...I should just be flipping grateful for all your very kind offers of help, which I am. Would any future help be on tape or CD via pc microphone? Here's my email again if anyone wants to discuss it further: [email protected] of Thanks!
In case anyone was wondering, I now have three confirmed readers...they know who they are and their privacy by me is total...but, unless I ask them to read more than one book, I could do with a couple of more readers, perhaps for the short stories in Uncanny and Supernatural tales by Algernon Blackwood and Mist Over Pendle by Robert Neill...and maybe even some poetry.
