Cheap paint - the coverage isn't generally as good on *one* application. However, if you buy sufficient quantities and have the time to take over applying two/three coats then I find that there is precious little difference.
Cheap household items - I think it depends on what they are and how long you could reasonably expect *any* brand to last.
Cheap tools - Again, it depends on whether you have an immediate project in mind.
I often go round to one of the various 'pound-shops' and buy a packet of 4 paint-brushes. I just make sure I pick any loose bristles off the paintwork and then throw the brushes away when the job is done.........no turps or splashing paint-water over the kitchen sink.
Cheap household items - I think it depends on what they are and how long you could reasonably expect *any* brand to last.
