Just taken a delivery & was talking to the driver ( female ) We always help whoever delivers by going out to the van and bringing the shopping in for which she/ he is always grateful. Unless you're housebound or ill, do you help your driver? She had quite a few drops still to do within a time slot and was seriously considering looking for another job! They don't seem to have these wheel things to transfer shopping to the door & do it all by hand! We have a months load of food delivered comprising of 30 cartons of milk & other heavy stuff, just felt really sorry for them!
Errrr no I don't help mine. He arrives with a few boxes and by the time I have unloaded them he's back with the next ones. So I don't have time to help.
I have a home delivery every 6 days, so I'm a little and often customer. I must admit they do struggle when I order 12 large bottles of water, but I get the impression that they actually enjoy their job.
Hi craft,
this lady was probably in her 40s? She said she was suffering back pain as a result. Just wondering why these companys don't provide something on wheels to help them?
i have an ilness that makes me have to let them come up 4 flights of stairs in a flat to deliver and i dont like it as i feel guilty but i pay £6 so i shouldnt but i shouldnt be made to feel like this especially since i pay and medically cant do it myself
