Can anyone offer a clue to a word that appears to be 'remifromibus'. This unlikely word is probably spelt wrong and may have 1 or 2 or even more letters wrong. The writing was written by a doctor and was awful, but the general gist is from a diagnosis of a medical condition, followed by the mixture to be administered. This particular part finishes '.......make a mixture of which let her take four spoonfuls each hour 2 da(NB da in superscript) REMIFROMIBUS

You don't give enough detail of the context. The whole sentence with the word included would be useful, but if the word were reniformibus an inflected form of reniformis, then it would mean kidney-shaped.
Does that make any sense?

Thanks for that Vascop, but I don't think it's much help in the context. I give below as much of the diary entry that I have. This section was passed to me by the ex-pharmacist who was interpreting/clarifying the diary.
......By these means the diarrhoea was suppressed but the pulse became quicker and stronger and the heat more vehement; and in the afternoon the diarrhoea returned; by which we were certainly assured the fever was periodical and prescribed as follows.
Take 1 ounce of Peruvian Bark in a thick powder, 12 ounces of Alexiterial Milk Water. 3 ounces of Epid, infuse together, strain, add 6 drachms of Confection of Fracastorii. Mix, make a mixture of which let her take 4 spoonfuls each hour 2da in Remifromibus.
I don't know whether thaat's any help, but thanks for looking anyway!
Remisceo is a verb meaning 'to mix up'.

I can't find any Latin words, in my dictionary, beginning with 'from' but most words beginning with 'fron' pertain to leaves. So perhaps it's actually 'remifronibus' meaning 'a mixture of leaves' (i.e. some sort of herbal concoction)???
