For those of you who have done this one - please can you tell me simply if it a national capital or maybe a state / region capital ?
None of the cities I can find make me think of an hotel built to a great height.
Must be particularly silly this week.

Husband read the list of cities and saw the right one straight away - I knew I was being thick !

Now the problem is quizmail says old name is russian but all references say it is german.

I have noticed those Quizmail guys never get anything wrong. I got the one that says German and it fits the clues.

I've left a query on the query line and they still say no change to wording of any question so it must be right. Vic and Dave do usually admit their mistakes.

Try googling russian explorer born, then name of city you've already got.
