Fat vs Saturated fat

At lunch i was choosing between 2 items, one said "10g fat, 0.8 sat fat" the other said "7.5g fat, 2.5g sat fat". Which is "better"?

The saturated fat content is the one to watch out for.
Yes, you should pick the one with less saturated fat, as this affects your cholesterol levels

okay - so it could be 20g fat, 1 g satfat, and that would be better than 10g fat/5g sat fat
Essentially yes, if it's only saturated you want to cut down on

when would a person want to cut down on just sat fat as opposed to fat generally? Do low-fat diets target sat fats or fat as a whole? If you want to cut down on fat intake, do you still opt for the same item as per my previous post?
