eyelet curtains

Does anyone know what width my eyelet curtains be. When I have pencil pleat I always have double the width of the curtain pole, is it the same with eyelet curtains. Thank you.

Depends on whether you want to shut them? Even if you do, it wouldn't need to be as much as pencil pleat as you will not be pulling the cords in to get the pencil pleat effect. You would need enough to close and above that it would depend on which width the curtains come in and how full you want them to look. I tend to think that these ones look nicer quite flat so would probably go for a width and a quarter to a half.
