Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

20ac is "Lack of sufficient power" 9 letters and INABILITY fits so far. But for 19dn 4 letters "Mentally or physically tiring", I have ?I?G, the I being the fifth letter of 20ac. For reasons too lengthy to explain, the four letters of 19dn need to be from V,A,N,G,O or H. So my INABILITY is wrong, and we're looking for a solution to 20ac from I?A???I?Y of which the fifth letter must be one of the 6 above and provide a solution to 19dn from ???G. Just the thing for a nice relaxing Sunday afternoon..........

Looks like inability is very likely correct. Is your G correct in 19d. Sick could be the solution maybe?

Thanks, grasscarp, for persevering, but I'm sure the G is right, as it's the first G in GOGH, which in turn is part of other clues reading THE REAL VAN GOGH. Hence the six letters I've given. Relatively simple,if sometimes deceptive, clues, but very convoluted interconnections.

part from the given clue, the text says "One of the relevant artist is a self portrait, depicting what is to be reflected in the entry at 19 dn - i.e. a 3 letter reductionfrom the original 7 letter solution." All in all, a vintage time-waster which I'm now abandoning! If I ca remember, I'll post the answer when it's available in a fortnight's time.

The first part of the above was missing and reads:- It's better than anything I've thought of, but it means finding analternative to INABILITY. The Chambers definition is "lack of sufficient power or means", so I'm reluctant to abandon it.

Right Chaps, also after spending ages on this, I have cracked it. If you look at the clue for 19d it says it is 7 letters!!! So the answer is wearing (for tiring), but you only need to put ring in at 19d? I don't know what is in the self portarait in question but I'd bet it is a ring. What do you think? Will.
