I work part time in an off licence. My contracted hours are 9, 2 hours on a wed night, 3 hours on a thurs night and 4 hours on a sat night. The shop introduced newspaper in November 2008. I have been working extra hours since then. The shift for doing the newspapers is 2 hours each morning, 7 days a week. I know that extra hours are classed as overtime and don't count towards my holiday pay. Occasionaly, someone will do a paper shift for a morning a week, and I do all the others, meaning I have to do split shifts. Since I have been doing these extra shifts on a regular basis for over a year, can I insist on this being added to my contract so that my holiday pay will increase in line with this? I have been reading through the following

I don't see anything about differences between full, part or as I am doing split shifts. If I have it correctly, should I be expected to start work befor 9am if my previous days shift ended at 10pm. I hope this makes sense. Sorry it's so long winded!

Yes, one of the WTD rules is the right to 11 hours off between shifts, as you read. But I'm not sure whether that applies to a part-timer. Just tell them your don't want to do the newspapers since that constitutes the extra hours that breaks the WTD. But that seems to defeat the first objective to get more holiday pay.
So, as you see, I don't know what you are hoping to achieve here.

it seems that if the hours you work are permanent then they kind of are in your contract and your constract shouls reflect that
are you expetced to do that shift or do you want to?
it seems if its a permannet arrangement then it shouldnt be classed as over time or extratime...i thought that only applied to generall unexpected hours...?
