Families of bereaved who “apparently” have had their organs “harvested” will be contacted for an explanation and an apology.
For the bereaved? Not a lot in it…..!!
For the living families?......compensation.
From whom will the compensation be paid?.........NHS
Logical?

Don't know the details, but say Andly Byrne interviewed on TV and he seemed to imply that the were all on the Transplant Register, but not for all organs......I think.
All ado about nothing, in my opinion unless you ARE one of the family of the bereaved and then it is "all ado about cash."

Just listening to this on the 9 o'clock news, 21 families involved, department of health are contacting the families involved. Sounds like for those people, a box was or wasn't ticked on the records (this is my speculation) so their wishes weren't accurately recorded. So far the news doesn't say whether they took body parts which hadn't been authorised (as you can choose) or whether they look organs from people who didn't want to give them.
