Yes it must be - although it would mean no long long summer holidays and also a choice of holiday times on the plus side
how long is the summer holidays wendi?
They won't have them Molly. 4 weeks in school and 2 weeks off ALL year round...
doe this mean bl00dy kids will be holidaying at all times? great.
their isnt one molly, its 4 weeks school, 2 weeks off rota all year

sounds good to lose the long summer break
I think its the same mc fluff, just distributed differently
Well with that attitude fluffy I won't be sending mine to stay with you !!
ahh, i think thats a good way of doing it, i get bored in the sumemr holidays and even some of the teachers admit they do. One of the graphic design/art teachers set up her own business designing allsorts, from party invitations to logos.

just wondering if it will work out . What I mean is will the xmas holls fall just at the end of there 4 week term. Might make it cheaper for summer holiday . But I doubt it.
how ould it work out with exam and study timetables?

surely if a lot of the study is done in the summer they would spend the first year cramming everything into a short space of time to keep up with the curriculum

they'd have to rearrange when the year stars and when the exams are, which would mean the same for the whole country, which would be chaotic at first, like getting rid of middle schools round here, but after a few years, things would settle down.
mind you in birmingham this year summer holiday is 5 weeks long, whereas the last 2 years its been 7 weeks, still too long.

I would rather they had shorter more constructive holidays than over long weeks off where they get up to no good because they are bored
kids have their time, the rest of us have peace time.....
I don't think they should have holidays at all.....my house has been a sh!t pit since they broke up. And I've lost count of the fist fights......
The long summer-break was, historically, to allow children out of school to help gather in the various 'harvests' in the countryside..........

It's not been necessary, therefore, for many years............
