How can I remove the sticky residue left by labels after they have been removed from plastic storage boxes?

WD40 is quite effective, but the boxes have to be washed thoroughly afterwards
some sorts of fly spray can do the job
If you have a Betterware salesman/woman in your area, order some 'Stoick Stuff remover' from them - it's excellent.
Sorry, that should have been 'Sticky Stuff Remover'
For heavens sake, just use white spirit!

White Spirit is the first thing I tried - it did not work!
Furniture polish always works for me
.....but my mum says use washing up liquid
A real easy way that usually works is to simply dab it with the sticky label itself. It works everytime for my wife!
