I agree with the others - get to yout GP or better still, if you have a walk-in centre nearby, go there if you can't get a quick GP appointment. Most GPs keep a couple of appointments set aside for urgent cases each da, see if you can get one of those.
is there no A&E anywhere near you? I know you said she won't go to a hospital, but if she won't go to a GP either you aren't going to be any further forward. She'll have to be looked at by a person; talking about it online is never going to be enough. It could all be harmless, but it might not be, so one way or another you're going to have to get her to someone who'll examine her.
Good luck to both of you.

sara...Plebs are plebs wherever they are......on AB or NHS Direct.
NHS Direct cost £139,000 to set up, to take the pressure off GP surgeries and A and E depts..
Every call costs £25.
60% of calls referred to GP&A&E.
Service spent £225,000 translating materials into Loatian and Cherokee, which are hardly spoken.
No other country has one, it was set up as a knee jerk reaction to a crumbling out of hours GP service and no Government will disband it despite it being a waste of time and money.......in my opinion.

jno...how do you know that the person that you are talking to have any medical knowledge?
With the HINI flu scare, anybody was taken off the streets and given a piece of paper with boxes which were ticked as the questions were answered.
You are quite right about the Internet ....just a connection of pixels.
Does anybody know the qualifications for working on NHS Direct?
