If you had to choose between sight or sound what would you opt for! What would you miss most about seeing or hearing!! I know this would be a hard choice for some people who may have experienced the loss of these faculties! I think I would choose sight!

I know a young woman (39) who was born deaf (Rubella) She tries to talk but unless you know her she is difficult to understand. She has 3 children, all of whom have no hearing problems. They understand every word she says. Her only real problems are people who treat her as a simpleton. She can't phone but texts all of the time. She is a happy person until she encounters ignorant people.

i love music and the sound of running water and breaking glass, but not being able to see would be not very good

I couldn't choose really,as I wouldn't be able to live without either of them.
I am so madly into my music right now, I just couldn't bare to lose my hearing.
Plus I need sight to see what I'm playing.....!!
So, that is my final answer.

As a musician, I'd have to say sound.

Obviously I would miss my sight, but I have a close friend who is clinically blind and still manages to have a full life, so I suppose I'd learn to cope. I'd miss driving and the pleasure of seeing a beautiful woman. Shallow maybe, but honest!

However, this is a bit like asking which of your arms would you prefer to have cut off...
