Are a joke!
Just rang number that is "supposed" for job centre yet I get transfered to switchboard 5 seperate times and after 6th time got through. So 8 minutes later at 0845 rate...will look nice on phone bill no doubt!!

Don't know how they think some can afford 0845 rates and for 80% of the call duration just have music Dont think there has been more than 5 out of every 10 Job Centre Advisors who I have spoken with that I can say had some understanding about what they was doing and did not take stupid amounts of time.

Oh well not saying nothing new to most, I wouldnt think so anyways......

My rant over this morning ..... ahhhhhhhh

It is expensive to call from Skype, too, if you don't have a landline. Back to geographical numbers for all, please.
a lady i know has had her payments messed up by the dwp,she has no home phone so has to use an old cheap pay as you go mobile. after running out of credit she had to borrow a friends phone and ask them to ring her back.
the last time this happened they told her they are no longer allowed to phone her back
so she stayed on for just a few minutes and used all the credit on her friends phone.
When I used to go to the job centre you could use the phone in there to make calls to advisors and I believe that was free.

due to first person who I spoke with not having any idea of what to do ended up putting nil payment on my notes, only to get a number for local jcp I found out - really annoys me at how alot of JSA advisors are incapable of reading off a screen without adding some problem in a way
