Baking cakes??
14 Answers
I feel like baking a cake. Went to the cupboard and checked if I'd got all the right ingredients...
Aww poop ! I've picked up some sort of pastry flour in Carrefour... and there doesn't appear to be any baking powder in the cupboards. :-(
Anyone ever made a cake with plain flour and no raising agents?
Or should I just get my backside down to the local shop and buy some?

Leave the fruit to steep overnight in an infusion of tea and freshly squeezed orange juice. Makes a really tasty tea bread type cake which freezes extremely well. I usually cut the cold cake in two and freeze one half for another day.
