You can really feel the nomadic tribes in it all.
I mean we'd all love to win the lottery, to be forever young or to be very smart.
But who amoungst us living in the 21st century being asked what we'd really like to achieve in life would say "I'd like to father a great nation, thank you very much" ?
Of course it's probably yet another creation myth - part of a story handed down over generations elaborated a bit here and there as an answer to the "where do we come from question"
Not in the Genesis/big bang sense but "we as a people"
In medieval England we had similar stories. Our "Abraham" was Brutus of Troy supposedly a descendant of Anaes who conquors Britain and becomes the first king, fathering a great nation, and founds London
