Since Friday we've had a bright, blue sky with not a cloud in sight which is very rare at this time of year. Could this have anything to do with the absence of planes flying over? We do live about 50 miles from a big airport. I must state it's so peaceful...
It's unlikely that aircraft bring water vapour. Probably just you noticing it's clearer than you expect, and trying to find a pattern/connection with something. Clear skies sometimes just happen.
Thank you for your replies. It's just that the sky is so clear not a white patch in sight which is very rare here, especially in April. Yes, maybe the fact no planes in the sky with their long strand of fumes is missing from the horizon.
We live near to an airport and yes,the lack of planes has got rid of all the scraggly white trails that we normally see in the sky, revealing a true blue sky for the first time in years.
