Hi, I'm back.

I just made the mistake of switching on the telly in the kitchen, and caught a bit of

... Dickinson's Real Deal.

Isn't it embarrassing !

The dealers count out money in a ridiculous, patronizing way.

The punters say "I was looking for a bit more than that".

The dealers count out a bit more.

The punters say "I was hoping for a little bit more".

Oh, god ... bl00dy get on with it !!

It really is a pile of cr@p ...

(and I say that as someone who watches Loose Women!).

JJ, Isee the term "punter" used on here quite frequently: what does it mean?
Question Author
Someone who takes a bit of a gamble, I think.

People who bet on horse racing are often known as "punters".

By that same logic, any customer of a McDonald's restaurant could be a "punter" !

That's interesting, Spike.

But, hmm ... over the past year, Baccarat has been my least successful casino game. I've taken some real pastings at the Baccarat table.

Interesting, Dave; however, still a little vague. But I think I get the general punt, I meant point, of it:)

Boxtops, the damn site discovered that I don't live in the UK, so it will not allow me to view it!
Sorry it bascialy means, in this case, someone who is willing to take a gamble.

JJ Baccarat? Play often?
Question Author
Not often, Dave.

My game is Blackjack ... most Fridays.

But I'm seeing a guy who lives in Geneva. When I go over there, we go to a casino ... and play Baccarat. I'ts quite a simple game, but I haven't quite grasped the tactics yet.
