I haven't got a tickbox to activate my avatar image on my edit profile page!! HELP!!

A lot of people have said that.

you do have the tick box, it's just invisible (seriously!) if you click once where the tick box should be visible and then click submit it will work (as long as you actually hit the tick box when you clicked)

Somehow CF is able to see and capture it.

if like me, you see neither the check box, nor the text beside it, just remember it is located just below the "Yo" of "Your avatar is currently inactive.".
Just click it once (it will toggle back to off again if you double-click it)
You will know when you are over the check-box in IE because the cursor icon changes from an I-beam to an arrow when you are over it.

Once you have clicked it, scroll down to the bottom and click 'Submit'

If both of you can not see it I'm sure it would help the ED to post back what version of which browser you are both using.

If I use the current version of FireFox, then the checkbox and text is visible (OS=Vista - Home Premium)

However, in Internet Explorer version 7.0.6001.18000, neither the text nor the checkbox are visible.

Thanks everyone. I've ticked the invisible box and it says I'm "active". Never heard of an invisible box before!! Lol.

I switched from IE to Firefox, and it works much better.

In particular you can download an add on that blocks adverts.

AB is much more relaxing to use with the Ads blocked out.

Firefox, in my opinion, is a far superior browser than IE as a browser.....really quick on my broadband. :0)

I am now active and have downloaded a pic and got an account at Gavatar, but can't seem to get it to show the pic on AB. What am I doing wrong?

as long as you have used exactly the same email address on gravatar as you have on your profile here on AB then it should automatically show your avatar in a few minutes.

Thanks for this CF. I've got my account with Gavatar and the pic is there but nothing is happening on here. Do I have to type in AB's address on the Gavatar site to link it up?
